After Underworld on Brighton beach on Saturday 20th July, it may initially look like there are so many things to do. But there is only really one place to go.
Brighton’s buzziest label Jack Said What presents the after-party to end all after-parties. Just a hop, skip and a jump from the epic Bugged Out! / Underworld on the beach event, at one of the city’s finest party venues — Club 32 on Duke Street — it’s the place to go when you don’t want the party to end.
You had chemicals, boy, and you want to carry on. So check out this merry lot.
You’ve got no less than acid bear boy Arthur Baker making a rare appearance in the city. The streetwise electro planet rocker, fresh from his recent ‘Sexmachine’ EP on Jack Said What, is an absolute legend in the game. You don’t want to miss Arthur throw it down.
Then we have dirty numb angel boy, Irvine Welsh. The Trainspotting author, the definitive writer of the acid house generation, famously had Underworld’s ‘Born Slippy’ featured in the film version of Trainspotting, and when he drops this timeless track in his DJ sets it absolutely goes off. It has to be seen to be believed.
Next we have lipstick boy, Carl Loben, and steel boy Steve Mac shouting “No alcohol lager, lager, lager, lager…”
And then in walks an angel, Nickelle, to seize control. She smiled at you, boy.
Shimmering and dirty, Zoe Vice is also on the ones & twos, and not forgetting local drive boy dive boy James Mackie — all in your inner space, boy. Mega mega white thing. Let your feelings slip.
Jack Said What won’t let the party stop. Come over, come over, they’ll smile at you, boy.
